As we approach the new academic session, we are pleased to share the confirmed academic timetable for the 2025/2026 session—carefully aligned with the Lagos State Government calendar to ensure consistency and excellence across all schools in the state.

Approved Lagos State 2025/2026 Harmonised Academic Calendar

According to the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), under the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education:

  • First Term: Monday, 15 September – Friday, 19 December 2025
  • Second Term: Monday, 12 January – Friday, 17 April 2026
  • Third Term: Monday, 4 May – Friday, 24 July 2026 (OEQA)

Detailing a few key features from the official calendar:

  • Staff Professional Development: Schools may schedule 2-day sessions between Monday, 8 September – Friday, 12 September 2025 (OEQA).
  • Mid-Term Breaks, Open Days, & Holidays are thoughtfully observed across each term (e.g., Eid-el-Maulud, Good Friday, Eid-el-Fitr, Workers’ Day, Children’s Day, etc.) (OEQA).
  • Total instructional days for the academic year: 182 days (OEQA).

What This Means for Conde Schools

To align effectively:

  • Session Resumption: Our students resume Monday, 15 September 2025, following staff training days.
  • Progress Updates: Open Days, Mid-Term Breaks, and Holidays will mirror the state’s approved dates for smooth coordination.
  • Consistent Planning: The fixed structure ensures predictable schedules for lessons, exams, events, and holiday planning.
